"My Little Boy"
No amount of gold could ever compare, to the gift of love that my son shares.
I've been blind and I couldn't see that all the love I've wanted is right here in front of me.
He gives reason to get through another day.
Maybe it's how he loves me in his special little way.
And when it gets hard for me to sleep at night....
He wraps his little arms around me and makes things right!
From sweet gentle touches to his bear hugs and a kiss...
He makes this hell on earth seem more like a peaceful bliss.
That great big smile and the twinkle in his eyes....
Every time I look at him it makes me want to cry.
But they're not tears of sorrow; they're tears of pride and joy....
To know that all the love in heaven is wrapped around my little boy.

What a little man

As I sit here, rocking my "baby" to sleep, I look at his little face and realize he is growing up. He has a little man face, not so much a baby anymore. It's all happening before my eyes and I want it to slow down.

Good night my handsome prince, mommy loves you always.

Who is the big boy?

7 months old! In 5 short months, we will be celebrating his first birthday!!! Soooo exciting. So since our last post, Jax sits up on his own perfect! He also has 3 teeth in and 2 about to break through. He is on Gerber 2nd foods, drinks juice in the sippy cup everyday, has breakfast, lunch & dinner and also gets a "cookie" almost every day. I weighed him yesterday, the 20th, and he weighed 18 pounds 14 ounces and was 28-1/2" long! He is wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diaper. He is still very happy, even cutting the teeth and he loves Jack's Big Music Show! Everyday, there is something new with him and everyday, thinking I love him the most I ever can, I find a way to love him even more!

6 months....(and 1 week)

Jax is a half of a year old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, where has the time gone? He has 2 teeth, rolls over like a crazy man, almost sits by himself, has tried all the fruits & veggies. His doctor said that we can start him on 2nd foods and feed him 3 times a day. We will start all this in 8 days once the 1st foods we have are gone. He is still sleeping great, very happy in the morning & pretty crabby at night. When he wants to go to sleep, you can't stop him. He weighs 17 pounds 11 ounces and is 26-1/2" long putting him in the 50% for both. He is wearing his 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers. He is more fun every day! Until next time.........

Wow! Time flies....

So Jax is 5-1/2 months old...can you believe it?

On his 5 month birthday, he ate "solids" for the first time. He had carrots and loved them. Since then, he has also had green beans, sweet potatoes and just started sweet peas today. More exciting news is...............................
Jax has a tooth!!!! A 2nd tooth is cauing my lil guys some trouble but will hopefully be in any day now.

Last Saturday, July 17th, was Jax's Baptism. He was a crabby little man but the day really did end up going quite well.

My munchkin is just under 17 pounds and is going on another vacation to Wisconsin Dells this Monday. That should be a fun time!

Here are some key pictures from the last month!

4 months & 2 days old

Sorry for being a slacker but we've been pretty busy over here. Jax turned 4 months old on Friday so we had his 4 month check that very day (insert sad face here). I will get back to that visit but currently, we are in Miami!!!! He did soooo good on the plane. Slept about 90% of the time, whined very little and had a total of about 5 minutes of crying. I can't complain AT ALL. He had his first pool experience today as well, & it's something he is getting used to. He was very tired & crabby when we first came down so the initial reaction wasn't a good one. After a brief nap & some food, he did much better the second time around. Once home, I will post pictures.

Ok, on to his doctor appointment. It was the single worst experience of my life. I never want to see him in pain like that again. On another note, he weighs 15.6 pounds & is 25" long. He is perfectly average. He has been sleeping in his crib for a few weeks & started sleeping through the night. He's such a good lil man. Doctor said I can start him on rice cereal if I want, so we will see how I feel once were home. I don't want to rush anything.

Well, I'm going to sleep so we are nice & refreshed for tomorrows adventures.
Check back soon for new pictures.

XOXO,
Jax's Mommy
